Participating on the day will give you direct access to policy experts, regulation deliverers, scientific researchers, start-up experts and others who will work with you test and build out your idea. You’ll then have the opportunity to pitch your idea to our range of investors, research organisations, incubation and acceleration programs to secure further hands on support to deliver your solution.

Up to 10 places in the GATE (Global Ag Tech Ecosystem) startup incubation program, valued at $20,000

The Western Sydney City Deal
Forming part of the Greater Sydney Region Plan’s Metropolis of Three Cities, the Western Parkland City will be established on the strength of the new international Western Sydney Airport, opening in 2026, and the Western Sydney Aerotropolis. It will be a polycentric city capitalising on the established centres of Liverpool, Greater Penrith and Campbelltown-Macathur. The city is is a region in Sydney’s outer west which is set to benefit from a once-in-a-generation investment in infrastructure including the new airport and Aerotropolis,new metro rail, bus and road connections. The Western Parkland City will be one of Australia’s most connected cities with innovative public transport, aviation and digital infrastructure which will bring residents closer to jobs, services, education and the world.
The Western Parkland City will create 200,000 new jobs across a wide range of industries over the next 20 years. The airport and Aerotropolis will attract infrastructure, investment and knowledge-intensive jobs, and the benefits will flow into health and education, retail, hospitality, and industrial activities that will power the city.
The population of the Western Parkland City is projected to grow from 740,000 in 2016 to 1.1 million by 2036, and to well over 1.5 million by 2056.
Residents of the Western Parkland City will have access to the best in education and skills training opportunities. A new multiversity, schools and Vocational Educational and Training (VET) facilities will align with the high-skilled businesses and industries of the Aerotropolis. This ensures locals are skilled and ready to take full advantage of the job opportunities created in the city.
